Job Summary

Feldman Shepherd is seeking candidates with 4 to 8 years of complex litigation experience, with a strong preference for attorneys who have handled serious injury cases on either the plaintiff or defense side.  The applicant should be able to step in and handle a case load consisting primarily of construction/workplace accident matters, trucking and auto cases, product liability claims, and a wide variety of catastrophic injury and death claims, primarily in PA and NJ.  Experience with medical malpractice claims is not required but is a plus.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Analyze statutes, regulations, case law, and develop legal strategies
• Draft pleadings, discovery requests, legal memoranda, motions, briefs, etc.
• Prepare clients and witnesses for depositions and court appearances
• Take and defend depositions and appear in court
• Participate in settlement negotiations and mediation
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on effective litigation strategy and filings
• Investigate potential claims
• Handle cases from inception through trial

Requirements

•          Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
•          Licensed in PA and NJ
•          4–8 years of experience in complex litigation, particularly catastrophic personal injury matters
•          Demonstrated ability to manage complex litigation and meet deadlines under pressure
•          Strong writing skills
•          Proficiency in pleading, motion, and discovery practice
•          Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
•          Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
•          Demonstrated commitment to professionalism and ethical conduct
