- Litigation Associate Attorney
Description
Hanson Baker, a well-established Bellevue law firm, is looking to add a litigation associate attorney with 2 – 5 years of experience to our team. This is a full-time position. We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented individual with good organizational and communication skills. Candidates must have strong ethics and integrity.
This position supports multiple attorneys, and the ideal candidate would preferably have experience or interest in the areas of real estate purchases, sales, and disputes, boundary disputes, quiet title actions, easement agreements and enforcement actions, construction, land use, and creditor/debtor rights. The billable requirement for this role is 1,500 annually. Interested parties should submit a résumé, cover letter, law school transcript, and writing sample.
Responsibilities may include:
- Supporting senior attorneys during all aspects of cases
- Researching case law, regulations, and statutes
- Drafting pleadings, briefs, motions and settlement agreements
- Preparing for and attending trials, arbitrations, mediations, and other court proceedings
- Conducting and responding to discovery
- Communicating with clients, providing case updates and addressing concerns
- Representing clients in court proceedings, depositions, mediations, and hearings under the supervision of senior attorneys
- Devising legal strategies and analyzing conflicts in legal matters
- Negotiating on behalf of clients

Qualifications:
- JD from an accredited law school
- Proficiency in legal drafting and writing
- Experience in moot court and law review a plus
- Solid understanding of civil litigation
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all work performed
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- High proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat
- Ability to think and act independently and with minimal supervision
- Experience with NetDocs and Tabs3 or Clio a plus
