- Civil Litigation Attorney - Complex Multi-Party Trial Litigation
Description
A well-established California plaintiff-side litigation firm is seeking a skilled civil litigation attorney to join our team on multiple high-stakes, multi-party, complex civil litigation matters expected to proceed to trial. This opportunity offers significant courtroom involvement, hands-on responsibility, and exposure to sophisticated litigation across several areas of law. This is a new position to expand our team to help meet the increasing demand of new clients.
This position is suited for a mid-level attorney with meaningful courtroom experience who is ready to take a leading role in demanding litigation. The selected attorney will work directly with a senior law firm partner and will have substantial responsibility for case strategy, discovery management, motion practice, and trial preparation across active trial-bound cases. Attorneys driven by courtroom advocacy, strategic thinking, and challenging litigation are encouraged to apply.
Highly qualifed, senior level or partner level applicants with extensive civil litigation and trial experience may be eligible for additional compensation.
Requirements
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Serve as lead or first-chair attorney in state or federal court proceedings
Manage dense and document-heavy discovery
Draft motions, briefs, and trial filings
Conduct legal research and develop case strategy
Prepare witnesses and handle depositions
Maintain litigation deadlines with accuracy and consistency
Work independently while collaborating closely with senior counsel
Qualifications
Active California bar license in good standing
Demonstrated civil litigation experience
Prior first-chair or substantial courtroom experience in state or federal court
Strong legal writing and oral advocacy skills
Proven ability to manage complex discovery and multi-party litigation
Self-directed work style with sound judgment and attention to detail
Position Details
Full time position. Some qualified individuals may be eligible for a contract position.
Direct reporting relationship with a senior litigation partner
Opportunity for additional compensation based on exceptional performance
Direct involvement in trial-bound, high-value civil matters
Employees may work onsite in our Los Angeles office with remote position opportunity for qualified candidates who do not reside in the greater Los Angeles area or have demonstrated success while working independently in remote positions.
