Description
Nationally-recognized premier law firm specializing in the representation of public employees seeks an attorney for its legal defense practice in San Francisco.
This is not your average law-firm and not your average attorney position. We are looking for an attorney who enjoys and excels both behind the laptop as well as doing real legal work in the real world. This position is tailor-made for someone who prefers to move around and have a lot going on than to sit at a desk all day (some desk-sitting or standing may be required). The ideal candidate will possess excellent legal research and writing skills, and can see themselves thriving in a position where they will be advocating on behalf of public safety employee clients in sometimes challenging environments.
You will be representing clients in administrative disciplinary interviews, hearings and appeals, as well as potentially criminal cases and much more. You will be interacting with clients directly and often, as well as the other parties and participants in these cases. You will also be part of a team that rotates 24-hour critical incident responses. You must be a well-organized, dependable, and highly motivated professional who is able to work independently as well as part of a team.
You will be trained, mentored and supported as you learn the ropes, but not micro-managed. This is an amazing opportunity for new or new-ish attorneys who enjoy and get excited about things like cross-examining witnesses, writing persuasive briefs and letters and finding creative ways to success.
Benefits are top-tier and include full family medical/dental/vision, as well as 401k, EAP, FSA, life insurance, and LTD insurance.
1800 annual billable hour requirement. Bonuses may include hourly, call-out, referral, discretionary and more.
If this all sounds like a good fit for you, please apply and tell us more about yourself. We offer competitive compensation and benefits packages, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.
This job description is intended to convey information essential to understanding the scope of the Attorney position and it is not intended to be an exhaustive list of skills, efforts, duties, responsibilities or working conditions associated with the position.
