Varnum LLP is seeking to hire an experienced attorney to join the Litigation and Trial Practice Team in southeast Michigan. Our trial attorneys regularly appear in state and federal courts, administrative proceedings, and appellate courts throughout Michigan and the Midwest. This is a unique opportunity to join a thriving law firm and highly successful team of attorneys. Title will be commensurate with background and experience. 

We are seeking candidates with 10 or more years of experience in business and commercial litigation. The successful candidate will have engaged in trials, arbitrations, and administrative proceedings, with lead responsibilities. Candidates should also have extensive experience in leading litigation matters and in arguing motions, taking and defending depositions (including experts), participating in ADR procedures and possess excellent research and writing abilities. The successful candidate will have demonstrated business development experience, including some level of a portable book of business with growth potential; ability to manage files, supervise client contact and lead commercial cases; the ability to simultaneously juggle multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining a high level of responsiveness; exceptional attention to detail; and outstanding customer/client service skills. Admission to the Michigan bar is required.
