About the Position:

JCA Law, PLLC is seeking a motivated attorney with 0–3 years of experience to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to practice in the area of government entity defense, with a primary focus on education law. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in representing public school districts, cities, counties, and other governmental entities across Texas.

Responsibilities:

• Advise and represent school districts and other governmental entities on a wide range of legal matters, including student rights, personnel matters, governance, and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, pleadings, and other legal documents.
• Assist with investigations, administrative hearings, and litigation preparation.
• Attend school board meetings, trainings, and provide day-to-day legal guidance to clients.
• Collaborate with attorneys on complex legal matters and client communications.

Compensation:

Salary is negotiable based on experience.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in Texas, or awaiting bar results.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills and a commitment to client service.
• Interest in public service, education, and government law.
